About this Project
Elegant. Refined. Extraordinary. Located at Madison and 68th in NYC, Marquand exemplifies refined contemporary design. The four bedroom, four bathroom, 3500 square foot apartment provides a serene escape from the city’s perpetual liveliness.
We were honored to have repeat clients (an energetic and entrepreneurial couple) entrust our team with their NYC residence.
Our clients wanted a home that married classic and contemporary design—a place where they could enjoy entertaining their friends, family, and business associates. The designers chose a monochromatic color scheme accented with soft blues and copper to achieve their clients’ desired contemporary look. Taking full advantage of the restored building’s wood paneled walls and architectural details, they combined the clients’ own favorite pieces with custom built-ins, special order furnishings and fabrics, and exquisite sculptures. Be sure to check out the gorgeous walk-in closet with its white and mirrored walls, high top desk that serves as an organizational area, and its custom island that hides belts and accessories.
The library/study boasts a leather-topped desk by Baker and custom built-ins by BRITTO CHARETTE. In the living room, the round coffee table is by Minotti from NYC’s own Domus Design Collection (ddc) and the bronze cast fireplace screen is a beautiful sculptural piece from John Lyle. And BRITTO CHARETTE designed the credenza that gleams in the family room. Please contact us for more information about these and other sources used in our design.
